Article: "50 million won in compensation" but will that have any meaning to Han Ye Seul?

1. [+716, -19] If she wasn't a celebrity, she wouldn't be getting that 50 million, let alone 5 million won in compensation...

2. [+658, -33] What would that amount matter to her? Now because of her scar, she won't be able to take on pictorials or CFs and she'll be limited to dresses that cover up her scar for award ceremonies. The money she's going to be losing in the future is unfathomable...

3. [+525, -12] I'm sure she would rather have had the surgery gone successfully without the 50 million won but she's still being compensated a lot... non-celebrities couldn't dream of getting that amount

4. [+26, -8] 50 million won? Do they know how much she makes per drama episode? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Are they joking with that amount? She just lost her worth in her profession because of them

5. [+22, -4] I don't think money is the issue here

6. [+19, -3] I feel bad that this is happening to her but I do hope this sheds some light on how the rest of the population deals with medical accidents. People who aren't celebrities have to deal with doctors who refuse to admit to their mistakes, lawsuits that take 2-3 years long with a 25% chance of winning.

7. [+17, -2] She'll be fine for pictorials or CFs since they can use CG to blur her scar out but it's something she's going to have to emotionally deal with for the rest of her life. These accidents aren't just about the cosmetic aspect but how they recover from it emotionally.

8. [+14, -4] Not sure how they came up with that number. If they're basing it on her profession, then they need to consider all the restrictions she's going to be forced to deal with from now until she retires. I don't think that's something a money amount can be estimated on.

9. [+8, -2] What's it matter to her... not like she's poor ㅠㅠ she has to deal with this car for the rest of her life...

10. [+6, -3] I'm actually tired of the people saying that she deserves to be compensated more "because she's a celebrity", "because she makes so much with dramas, CFs"... Since she's such a high profile celebrity, did she pay more for her surgery, more than the rest of us? No, she didn't. So why should she be compensated more than the rest of us when she didn't pay more for the surgery than the rest of us? Isn't that unfair? I feel so bad for her and hope that she recovers from this but it's unfair to expect more compensation than others while paying the same up front...
